Chandu Thota is a well known software developer, award winning author, speaker and an entrepreneur. His contributions are known in the areas of Microsoft Virtual Earth (Local Search and Live Maps) and MapPoint. He is also listed as a technology leaders by Inman Publishers.
He has worked at Microsoft from 2003 to 2007 where he helped Microsoft ship many products including MapPoint, Streets & Trips, MapPoint Web Service, Microsoft Location Server and Microsoft Virtual Earth (Live Local Search and Live Maps). In February 2007 he left Microsoft to become CTO and co-founder of Fatdoor, a geo-spatial social network.
