Chandranagar

Chandranagar is a suburb of Palakkad town in Palakkad district, Kerala, south India. Its 5 km from the centre of the town. Chandranagar housing Society, founded in 1956,[1] is the first housing colony in the state and one of the largest. Within Chandranagar itself there are many small colonies like Surya Nagar, Shayadiri Colony etc. There are two main entrances for this colony, the main one being near the NH 47 (National Highway) and NH 213 junction. The colony stretches almost 3 km along the NH 47 in the direction of Coimbatore, which is the nearest city (about 40 km from Chandranagar) in Tamil Nadu state. There are around 700 houses with nearly 1200 residents.
