.Chandpur is one of city under the district Bijnor in UP. City is 140 Kilometer from national capital Delhi, and 110 Kilometer from Meerut.Chandpur is well connected and 38 Kilometer far from Gajraula on National highway-24,( Delhi-Luchnow Highway).
City under district Bijnor is surrounded by other district as Meerut, Muzzafarnagar and J.P.Nagar.
The Chandpur has a major population of Muslim and Dalit along with other population as Jat,Tyagi,Vaiysa. but Agarwal,Tyagi & Jats are well dominated in wealth and social status.
The main profession of Chandpur is agriculture as Sugarcane. Chandpur has a sugar mill. The city is famous for Sugar and Gur with its well known mandi as Mandi Kotla.
The main markets of chandpur are Mandi Kotla, Dhaali Bazer, Bazaria, Mina Bazer and Saturday Market.
On the education front, Chandpur has many primary schools and colleges as one government degree college named Gulab Singh Degree College.There is two major inter college Muftahul-uloom Muslim Inter College (M.M.I.C.) & Hindu Inter College (H.I.C.) Chandpur.
Young generation is being progressive in city,They are looking for other alternative of profession while acquiring higher education as MBA,CAs,Engineering and Medical from premiere Institute as IIT,CMD,Modinagar.Despite of less awareness about professional education in city, The Chandpur has given many talented professionals to many industries as software, marketing, automobile etc. Most of the young professionals from chandpur are serving in bigger MNC based in metro cities of india as Delhi, Noida,Chandigarh,Bangalore etc.
Chandpur is well connected with Railways from Delhi, Luchnow, and Dehradun.
A Direct bus services are available from Delhi to Chandpur, Bus can be easily taken from Anand Vihar Bus Stand, Delhi, and for train route, There are two trains available from Delhi as Mussoorie Express and Garwal Express.
On the political side, Chandpur is well known as "Mini Chahproli" because of highly active role in UP politics. The City has been represented by many ministers in UP assembly in recent past.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Chandpur had a population of 68,359. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chandpur has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 57% and female literacy of 47%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
