Chandi Mandir

Chandi Mandir is a very famous temple located at a distance of about 15 km from Chandigarh. It is situated about 10 km away from the Mansa Devi Shrine. Chandi Mandir is dedicated to Chandi, the goddess of power.

The city of Chandigarh was named after this temple. During the festival of Navratras, thousands of people visit this temple. The temple is situated amidst beautiful surroundings and the backdrop of the Shivalik hills.

The temple has beautiful statues of various Hindu Gods including Chande Devi, Radha-Krishan, Hanuman, Shiv and Ram.

The Chandi Mandir area is known for housing the Western Command of the Indian army.
