Chanchal is a small town in Malda District, West Bengal, India. It was the home of King Saratchandra Rai Bahadur, who had built the Chanchal palace. The King was married to Queen Dakshyani. The palace was transformed into a government college few years back. Chanchal has now been transformed as a Mahakuma and the palace has been bought completely by the Govt of West Bengal. It would form the new courthouse of the town.
