Chamois Niortais Football Club is a French football club based in the commune of Niort, in western France. It was founded in 1925 by Monsieur Boinot, the owner of a local chamois leather factory. Hence, the club's badge shows a chamois goat standing on a football. They play at the Stade René Gaillard in Niort, which has a capacity of around 11,000. They are currently playing in the French second division, Ligue 2, after being promoted from the Championnat National in the 2005-2006 season and consequently ending their Ligue 2 campaign in 16th position, guaranteeing their safety.
They play in all blue, with an away kit of all white and a third all black kit.
