Chaminda Dilhanake Hettiarachchi is a Sri Lankan academic specialising in Management Studies and Political Science. He graduated from the University of Peradeniya with a BSc in Production Engineering in 1996. He went on to study at Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS, (Pakistan), graduating in 2001 with an MBA in General Management[1]. In 2002, he completed a second MBA in International Management at the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Germany[2]. In addition to teaching strategic management at department of Management of Technology , University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, Hettiarachchi also lectures on the uses of technology for development[3], and on peace processes in Sri Lanka and other conflict situations. Chaminda's research interests are in ICTs role in Human Development, ICTs for Power Decentralization and Digital Technology for Peace Building. He is one of highly traveled Sri Lankan academic to talk to international audience. [4][5][6][7]
Chaminda Hettiarachchi is the President and Executive Director of the Sri Lanka Diaspora Professional Association (SLDPA). In this capacity, Chaminda works with Sri Lankan Diaspora based in Europe, Asia and North America.[8]
