Chamaeleo rudis is the taxonomic name of Rudis chameleon.
It lives in high-altitude grassland and savanna areas of Mount Meru, Tanzania. It is an endangered species, as its habitat of dense shrubs is disappearing fast.
It is small (4 to 6 inches) and lacks horns or occipital lobes. It has a long tail and a small crest.
