Chahtoul (other names: Shahtoul, Shahtul) is a village in Lebanon, in the district of Mount-Lebanon and in the caza of Kesrwan and situated at about 32 km from Beirut. It is approximatively situated at 930 m above the sea level.
It is the hometown of the famous lebanese writer May Ziadeh.
It is an appreciated destination for camping.
Places to visit:
-Church of Saint-Joseph (town center);
-Saydet el Kalaa church and lady's holy cave;
-The cross on the hill.
