Chahar Kint District

Chahar Kint, formerly Char Kent, is a district in Balkh Province of Afghanistan. It has a population of 42,000 people. The district administration is in the town of Char Kent, which means "quad edged" or "four edges". It was called Char Kent because the town is on top of a mountain, which has four edges (Char means four and Kent means edges). The area of the district is 1,357 km² (520 sq mi).
