Chad Raney is a Texas entrepreneur and winner of the 1997 Texas Entrepreneur Award, presented to him by then Governor George W. Bush for his medical supplies company, CareChoice.[1] He founded Lone Star Music in 1999 with the purpose of selling music by Texas artists. LSM has since become very successful within the state's music scene, opening two retail stores after the success of its website (http://lonestarmusic.com), as well as buying out a music magazine.
