Chabbewal is a town in the district of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India, with a population of 5000.

Chabbewal is a now major shopping center that attracts neighboring villagers regularly. It is a major bus station for villagers in and out of that area.Chabbewal is on main highway from Pthankote to Chandigarh and is sits just in the middle of Hoshiarpur and Mahilpur about 10 KM. eachway. Chabbewal has 5 high schools and 1 girls college. The main clan in Chabbewal is Jhuti (or Jhutty). Neighboring villages house many historical gurdwaras ( Baba Rattan Singh Wala / Rattnala , Haria bella - Jathedar Sant Baba Nihal Singh ji ) and produced many football players for the state. Many people have migrated to foreign countries from this area; U.K, Canada, U.S.A. and Australia. It is a well established village with many past and present political figures. Chabbewal also produces many soldiers that serve the Indian military. Chaudary Kartar Singh, former mayor of Chabbewal, is a famous figure from that town. Other famous faces include Brigadier Amarjeet Singh Chabbewal (YSM), Brigadier Surinder Singh, Makhan Singh Jhutti--who beat the famous Milkha Singh, the 1930 Olympic hurdler--and Monica Bedi.
