[edit] Rosny or Rosny-sur-Seine?

Shouldn't this be Château de Rosny in the commune of Rosny-sur-Seine? --Wetman 19:28, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

This was my idea, too. That's why I started the redirect. --Ghirla -трёп- 19:58, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
I just used Château de Rosny-sur-Seine, because that was the title at fr:. Looking around the web I see some at Château de Rosny-sur-Seine, some at Château de Rosny, and a few at Château de Sully. I'm fine with either. DVD+ R/W 21:04, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
The commune has that name to distinguish it from Rosny-sous-Bois. I think the château is simply Rosny; but the French now call the Château de Maisons, "Maisons-Laffitte", as the commune is now (rightly) called. --Wetman 02:41, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] a remarkable man?

If the chateau is truly "famous as the birthplace and seat of Duc de Sully, who built it in 1599", then he is remarkable for having been the first man in history to have built his own birthplace. Perhaps a little rewrite would be appropriate.131.81.200.158 13:18, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] State repossession

Does anyone know when the state repossessed the chateau from the Japanese company? Please add it to the article. I also wonder why they'd strip such a magnificent place of its ornaments in the first place. Kavadi carrier 13:51, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
