[edit] White House design taken from Chateau???

Plans of the chateau existed almost thirty years before its construction??? ...White House was completed 12 years before construction on chateau even began!...Where is all this information coming from? aNubiSIII (T / C) 06:49, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Well... first of all, it's not unheard of for buildings to be designed, and then not constructed until many years later. Whether this was the case here, I don't know. As for the White House, let us not forget that the South Portico was not added to the White House until 1824, so it is quite possible that Rastignac's rounded portico served as inspiration for the White House's South Portico. This indicates to me that more sources need to be found for this article... SchuminWeb (Talk) 14:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
