Châtillon-sur-Thouet is a village and commune in the Poitou-Charentes région of France. It is situated directly across the River Thouet from the town of Parthenay.
Châtillon-sur-Thouet is within the département of Deux-Sèvres, the arrondissement of Parthenay, and the canton of Parthenay. The commune of Châtillon-sur-Thouet has joined together with five neighbouring communes to establish the communauté de communes of Parthenay which provides a framework within which local tasks are carried out together.[1][2]
