[edit] Copyright violation at Canterbury Girls' High School
Hi, I've had to delete your article on Canterbury Girls High because it is a blatant copyright violation lifted from the school's website. On Wikipedia you must write material you submit yourself and in your own words and we cannot accept any material that you have copied from elsewhere. You can rewrite the article if you wish, but you *must* write it yourself and not copy it from somewhere else. Also, it is important that you try to find verifiable reliable sources to use as references. Please look at those links because sourcing is very important for all articles. So if you know of or can find any newspaper article or books, then please use them. You can use the school's website as a source but it can't be the only source. If the article doesn't have adequate sourcing and no independent sources can be found, then it could well be nominated to be deleted, so if you know of any other sources, please add them in if you decide to write an article on the school. But the copyright issue is a very, very important issue here and users who continue posting copyright violations after being warned may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. Thanks, Sarah 10:07, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
