[edit] FTTX proposals
Thanks for your previous and continued help in this area. I agree that these articles still need work, but they are certainly much improved over what they used to be, thanks to contributions like yours. I have added to your discussion under talk:fiber to the premises and under talk:fiber to the x.
Also, I would like to look at the article that you mentioned under Talk:Fiber_to_the_x#Restructuring proposal, but the link does not go directly to any one article, and I'm not sure which article you are referencing there. Could you please specify it in the discussion? Riick 22:05, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have corrected the link in the discussion of fibre to the x, if you don't want to register, look it up in the Google cache as suggested.

- Thanks for updating the link. The article was worth waiting for; it's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks the lack of standard terminology is a problem!
-
- Although hardly necessary when fixing a link, I just wanted to pass on that it's generally a good idea to use strike-through to indicate changes you make to your own comments (see WP:TALK#Own_comments). Please disregard if you already knew that! Also, I'd prefer to keep this thread together, so if you want to respond to what I've just said then just type it below! Thanks again, Riick 00:59, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Embedding one comment in another
Thanks for adding the other reference to our discussion about FTTC and FTTN. In doing this you embedded your own comment within mine, and I wanted to share with you that there is a special Wikipedia template which helps with this approach. The template (which I myself only recently discovered) adds a label which makes it easier to follow who's comments are whose. It also helps the original author understand that the new comment is not meant to corrupt the original comment, but rather is intended to add to it or respond to it.
According to Wikipedia guidelines for editing other people's comments
- "In some cases, it is OK to interrupt a long contribution [with] a short comment (as a reply to a minor point)... In such cases, please add {{subst:interrupted|USER NAME OR IP}} before the interruption."
Hope you find this information useful,
