Crofton is an area of Orpington, in the London Borough of Bromley.
For many years an ancient oak tree marked the junction of Crofton Road and Crofton Lane, until in 1967 it had to be felled after being hit by a lorry.
Crofton has two large primary schools, Crofton Infant School and Crofton Junior School. With an intake of 180 children per year in six classes, these are very large schools.
St Paul's Crofton is a large red brick Anglican church. The original church was built in 1888, and still stands, adjacent to the present building completed in 1958.
