[edit] The USAAF glider is designated CG-4A

The British Army called it the CG-4 Hadrian. Therefore, where this aircraft is described in its primary use by its overwhelming user, the USAAF, the listing should reflect the correct US designation. I refer you to the USAAF manuals which ALL refer to the CG-4A. I have them and am looking at them RIGHT NOW. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Maclir2001 (talk • contribs) 23:17, 10 May 2007 (UTC).

Not sure what the point user Maclir2001 is making, the article clearly states that the main production variant is the CG-4A. Again not sure what the British Army call it is related as the British aircraft were operated by the Royal Air Force who called it the Waco Hadrian. If the point is the title should reflect the main production model, then that is not normal practice for aircraft articles- the glider has the United States Military designation CG-4 (Transport Glider 4) which the title reflects, the CG-4A although the main production variant is not the only variant. [edit] Renaming?

Should this article need to be renamed "Waco CG-4" instead of "CG-4 Waco"? --MoRsE 12:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Because CG-4 is a United States military designation then article title follows the the appropriate concensus and should not be renamed. Although the source I have says it was named the CG-4 Haig the name in common use was Waco! MilborneOne 15:41, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry I forgot to add if it had not got a name then the article would be Waco CG-4!. MilborneOne 15:43, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merger with Waco CG-4

I have started the discussion on the merger of these two articles at Talk:Waco CG-4 - Ahunt (talk) 00:22, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
