CFOS is an AM radio station broadcasting from downtown Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. They play oldies and news, and are branded as 560 CFOS. 560 CFOS is owned and operated by Bayshore Broadcasting of Owen Sound.

The station originally began broadcasting in 1940 at 1370 kHz, which changed frequencies to 1400 kHz on March 29th, 1941 and changed frequencies to 1470 kHz in 1947. In 1958, CFOS again changed frequencies from 1470 to its current frequency at 560 kHz.

On June 21, 1978, CFOS opened a semi-satellite station CFPS-AM at Port Elgin and CFPS was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in 2005 to convert to the FM band at 97.9 MHz.

CFOS in Owen Sound still remains at 560 kHz on the AM band today and in 2005, CFOS celebrated 65 years as the voice of Grey & Bruce counties.

In 2007, Bayshore Broadcasting (CFOS) applied to the CRTC to amend the broadcasting licence for the english language AM radio programming undertaking CFOS Owen Sound in order to operate an FM transmitter in Owen Sound that would operate at 96.1 MHz (channel 241A) with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 5,450 watts. That application by CFOS was denied on February 6, 2008. [1]
