Template talk:Cfd result
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This really should have another variable for the result of the discussion, defaulting to keep; I've just seen this used for a no-consensus result, which is not the same. Septentrionalis 14:25, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New template to use
Note: {{oldcfdfull}} (modeled after {{oldafdfull}}) has been created that handles much of the same stuff that this template does, but it's more automated. Perhaps people could use the former, but it'd be a big switch. GracenotesT ยง 02:10, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Handling categories that are renamed
Sometimes things get renamed. Building the link to the discussion based on the current name may leave seekers wondering which discussion it is. if the rename wasn't obvious and or the list of discussions on the page is very long. Subst'ing the template invocation and then fixing the link by hand (to the old name so the link works) is one approach, but are there others? Perhaps a parameter that takes the full discussion name that would be used if present, and would replace use of the build it up as you go based on date and {{PAGENAME}}? 136.1.1.101 20:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
