Ceylanpınar

Ceylanpınar is an agricultural district of Urfa Province, on the border with Syria and reached by a long straight road across the plain south from Viranşehir. There is a border crossing to the town of Resu'l-Aynin Syria and many families in the district have relatives there.

The district covers an area of 2,003 km² and has a population of 67,817 (2000 census), of whom 44,258 live in the town of Ceylanpınar itself. [1]
