Cetra

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cetra Records was an Italian record company which produced opera recordings with artists such as Maria Callas, Renata Tebaldi, Carlo Bergonzi, Rolando Panerai, Giuseppe Taddei and many more famous artists. The company achieved something of a triumph in the early 1950s when it produced many recordings of rare and under-rated Verdi operas to coincide with the 50th anniversary of his death in 1901. Cetra recordings are often now reissued by the company Warner Fonit Cetra.
