César Rosas (born September 26, 1954 in Hermosillo, Mexico) is a singer, songwriter and guitarist for Los Lobos. Rosas also participates in the Latin supergroup Los Super Seven, and has a successful solo career with the release of his debut album Soul Disguise. Perhaps the most recognizable member of Los Lobos, Rosas is known for his trademark black sunglasses and slicked-back, black hair.

[edit] Wife's Murder

On the night of October 23, 1999 Rosas' wife Sandra was kidnapped from her home while Cesar was touring with Los Lobos. She was found dead on November 22, 2000, after her half brother Gabriel Gómez led police to her skeletonized remains. Gómez had already been convicted of her kidnapping and murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.[1]
