Certified Software Development Professional

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Certified Software Development Professional program is a software engineering and software development professional certification provided by the IEEE Computer Society.

The IEEE recognized the need for a certification that could demonstrate a level of proficiency in the field of software engineering. The certification will be awarded if the applicant has significant professional experience in the practice of software engineering, and passes an examination that is based on principles described in the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK). The IEEE is in beta with the Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) program, to confirm the credentials of recent graduates and new hires. [2]
