CertaPro Painters

CertaPro Painters is the largest North American residential painting company, owned by the FirstServive Corporation. Founded in 1992, CertaPro specializes in servicing both high-end residential and commercial customers in home improvement. Its success is based on exceeding customer expectations by delivering "certainty" at every juncture of a painting job from start to finish.

Each franchise operation is independently owned. CertaPro Painters has no company-owned locations.

CertaPro Painters have customer representatives that answer calls from 5am to 9pm PST to schedule painting appointments. CetaPro also has a Quality Callback Program where they call some customers approximately one to three weeks "after the paint has dried" to ensure customer satisfaction.

The FirstService Corporation, founded in 1983, is a "private equity firm specializing in investments in energy companies with a focus on energy manufacturing and services." The First Service Corporation, along with Certa Pro Painters, also owns California Closets, Paul Davis Restoration, Pillar to Post Home Inspections, Intercon Security and Security Services & Technologies in integrated security.

In 2006, CertaPro Painters was ranked #8 on the Franchise 50 list, a list of the top 50 Franchises, published by the Franchise Business Review. The Franchise Business Review is a "national franchise market research firm that performs independent surveys of franchisee satisfaction." They consider a wide array of areas when reviewing franchises to be awarded, including "training, support, operations, franchisor/franchisee relations, financial opportunity, and more." Other franchises that made the top 50 franchise list include: Budget Blinds, MaidPro, Our Town America and Palm Beach Tan.
