Cerro El Plomo is a mountain located in the Andes, to the east of Santiago. It's a 5450 meters mountain and a classic summit of all mountaineers who want to conquer a five thousand. The adequate season to climb this mountain is between November and March. In spring, soil conditions have abundant snow on the approach. The best time is in January and March, where the approximation doesn't present snow, except for some specific areas, and the climate is more stable.
The mountain was used as a ceremonial site by the Incas. The mountain achieved his fame in 1954 when a mummy of a nine-year-old child was found on the summit.
