Cerebrals Society is an international society for people who have a documented IQ score of at least 144 sd16 from standardized, professional tests of intelligence only. This means that membership is open for the top 0.3% of people along the IQ spectrum. For comparison Mensa, the most widely recognized IQ organization accepts people scoring in the top 2% or an IQ of 132 sd16. In turn it means that Cerebrals is about six times more selective than Mensa.

[edit] History
Cerebrals was founded in December 1999 by Xavier Jouve who holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology. Over time the society has evolved into a growing organization which keeps providing its members with cognitively matched peerage and a chance to meet across distances thus reducing the sense of intellectual isolation often present in varying degrees in highly gifted people.
[edit] Admission
To become a member of Cerebrals one must provide a documented evidence of a performance at or above the 99.7th percentile (an IQ of 144 sd16 or 141 sd15 respectively) on a standardized, professional test of intelligence reviewed and approved by the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements.
[edit] In the Media
Cerebrals Society is featured on the Beautiful Mind website[1] in the Formulas>Genius Resources section.
