Cerano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 km northeast of Turin and about 14 km southeast of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,792 and an area of 32.1 km².[1]
Cerano borders the following municipalities: Abbiategrasso, Boffalora sopra Ticino, Cassolnovo, Magenta, Robecco sul Naviglio, Sozzago, and Trecate.
The Renaissance painter Giovanni Battista Crespi is known as il Cerano because he resided here.
