Ceranesi is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 11 km northwest of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,814 and an area of 30.9 km².[1]

The municipality of Ceranesi contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ceranesi-Gaiazza, Geo, Livellato, San Martino Paravanico, and Torbi.

The Municipality of Ceranesi includes also the Shrine of N.S. della Guardia, the most important Marian shrine in Liguria.

Ceranesi borders the following municipalities: Bosio, Campomorone, Genoa.
