[edit] vandal?

this page was vandalized (i think) with "hooray for cookies", and then someone came and edited the spelling of hooray? What? Is there something about cookies that attracts vandals? JamieJones talk 12:46, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism is a lot like the halting problem: you can try to understand its essence, but you won't quite solve the problem. Thanks for watching the page, JJ. Eduard Gherkin 22:27, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] mascot

Freddy the Falcon? WTF? Man, this place has just gone down the crapper since I graduated.

(Is that really the name of our mascot? And if so, can I punch whoever came up with it?)

I know, I know. Is it not incredibly revolting? Technically it is the name of the falcon costume. (I think that "Franco" would have been a better name. It's kind of exotic/dictatorial. And at least "Friedrich" would have a good philosophical ring to it.) I agree completely with you, Markus. Even more so, why does the name need to be a male alliteration? I would rather a Falcon named "Deborah" than Freddy. Even "Mavis" would suit better! At least it would be unique and quirky. (Mavis the Falcon. I like the sound of that!)
The school hasn't really "gone down the crapper". Forgive me for my lack of scholastic patriotism, but it is not the most fertilized soil for growing minds. The way I see it, it has been "down" a metaphorical "crapper" ever since I have personally attended. Certainly there are positive elements, such as several great teachers and clubs. (I find the new debate club to have helped me immensly along my way with my oratorical skills. You would have enjoyed it.)
Be happy that you have graduated. Be proud, not because of the place from whence you came, but because of the place upon which your eyes are set. Thank you for the comment. Eduard Gherkin 04:40, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
