Just as a bit of background, the CCDC is a city organization that works together with private developers to build in downtown and surrounding area - Petco Park and several of the developments around it were CCDC projects.
They're politically controversial because some have accused the developers of giving kickbacks to the committee, and that the city provides an amount of matching funds to stimulate development despite being in fiscal doldrums. FireballX301 (talk) 07:48, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
