designed as through station for IC with suburban trains continuing to Randolph and Lake, designed by Bradford L. Gilbert, opened in 1893 to serve Columbian Expo tourists, elliptically vaulted waiting room straddled the tracks, demolished in 1970s --SPUI (talk) 03:57, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
