Talk:Central Bucks High School West

Mmmkay I went a head and cleaned up some things that I felt were a little ambiguous. These of course can be verified by the sources that go along with them so that's a little bit about what I went a head and did. Feelings?

Much of the discussion seems irrelevant and vanity for a few students. Thoughts? --TeaDrinker 20:15, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
I think the students of the school are a better judge of what's relevant material. However, it does seem necessary to create a better representative picture of the school as a whole.--Zacharias 22:32, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- I just removed a section titled "Al Pitman." It seemed to entirely about one student. Much of the text has, to my ear at least, the same bent to it. --TeaDrinker 22:23, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- There are several sections which may need removal or serious re-write to better represent the school. Much of the wording is not neutral point of view (see: WP:NPOV) and verification is needed for many claims. --TeaDrinker 21:39, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
I chopped around this article a bit, work still needs to be done, but what do you think? Yanksox 22:22, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the work! I think it is much improved. I have also gone ahead and removed the section on "Primary Digestive Collectivism," since it appears to be a non-notable club or organization. I think that removes most of the cruft, but some re-wording and organization may still be needed. Thoughts? --TeaDrinker 00:46, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Thursday, September 28, 2006 AJMAN101 Hello? i think haveing a little humor in here is good, it represents the school better. Plus, what about the swim team? i added only a little bit, i'll fill out more info as i go along. any additional info on swimming and other teams would be a good idea.
I don't really think Wikipeida is a place for humor, I've added an info box to the page and I'll find out the exact date of the formation of the school soon. --vidrock 18:26, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
SnakeRunsCBWest 22:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC) Okay, First off, who ever removed the section entitled "Al Pittman" must have had thier brain removed because Al is a great man worthy of an entire page dedicated to his greatness. Secondly whoever deleted the section entitled "notable students" must not know anything about Central Bucks West High School. Without that section, this page is quite frankly the most boring page on the web. Without the section "notable students" anyone not familiar with Central Bucks West High School will not be able to fully understand what it is like there. It is the job of you, the wikipedians, to provide an accurate descption of the school and I feel if you do not make these changes, you should be removed of your priveliges to edit the Central Bucks West High School page.
Fred Fielding's biography would seem to indicate that he could not be an alumnus of CB West, because (a) he is too old and (b) he appears to be from Mechanicsville, PA. Timothy Stack's bio indicates he graduated from Germantown Academy. MaximusScriptor 08:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)MaximusScriptor
[edit] SGO section
The former last sentence in the SGO section of the article, which read:
A second political body is set to rise next year to counter the one-party dominance of SGO. However, this may never happen, as SGO believes that this is unjust and could threaten their hold upon school activities.
is somewhat confusing and more than a bit doubtful. If clarification can be added, the idea of SGO political parties can perhaps be readded to the main article.
User SnakeRunsCBWest reverted my edit in the SGO section without explanation, and I am reverting to my copy for the reasons stated above (which remain unchallenged verbally by the aforementioned user). The comment about political parties arising in the CB West SGO is unsourced and highly speculative at best. Explanation from the user is requested if he decides to revert the edit again.
[edit] Sentences removed in cleanup
I removed the following sentences in order to cleanup the article. They are considered unencyclopedic without citations.
- The Central Bucks West High School choir is widely accepted as one of the best high school choir programs in the country.
For many years Central Bucks West was regarded as one of the nation's top high school football programs.
Widely accepted by whom? Regarded by whom? Also see WP:AWW and WP:CITE. --Rkitko 09:30, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Per User talk:SnakeRunsCBWest#Talk:Central Bucks West High School, I have added the second sentence back with the citation and worded more accurately to avoid weasel words. --Rkitko (talk) 05:41, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
