[edit] GridIron Football

To neutralise this article, maybe it should be moved to center (gridiron football).

[edit] Page Content Updates

Sheebz (talk) 03:14, 11 April 2008 (UTC)I recently updated the roles and some other parts. As an athelete who played center in high school and college, I felt the current roles description to be all over the place. I also felt that there were some urban myths such as "smartest guy on the team" etc... that may be wrong. In my exp. I've never seen a scheme where the center called all the blocking assignements, usually the assignements were made from calls (which did indeed start from center because he had the best viewpoint, not because he was smart), which propogated down through the line depending on positions of defensive players. I think it would be a bit odd for a center to make a tight end's call given that his opponent is usually 3 gaps down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sheebz (talkcontribs) 04:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Um, no, it should really stay at Center (American football) to avoid confusion, as some people might not know what a gridiron is. RC-0722 247.5/1 04:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Sheebz (talk) 03:14, 11 April 2008 (UTC)RC-0722 just so you know, it wasn't me who suggested that. I have now figured out how to hold the shift key (doh).

Sheebz (talk) 03:21, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Ok, another thing, a lot of these football pages are very bad. I don't mean to slam whoever created them, I'm just saying that I think they can be organized much better.

Yes, they could be. RC-0722 247.5/1 03:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Removed the citations warning, I don't believe that there is any information in here that requires a citation at this point.Sheebz (talk) 05:54, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
