[edit] Fair Use for Central Asia

The image picture-fair-use.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is originally copyright I (thames 21:18, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)) feel it is covered by fair use because:

  1. it reproduces only a small section of the original, appropriate only for this specific article's use
  2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality)
  3. it is fully and prominently cited/attributed
  4. it does not contain the legend information concerning the various climates represented, and therefore is not as useful, informative, or complete as the original
  5. it is being used for the purposes of general education, research, and scholarship
  6. it is not being used for commercial purposes, for profit, for entertainment, or in bad-faith
  7. it is already published in a full, high-resolution version elsewhere on the internet [1]
  8. it is based on factual, non-fiction data
  9. reproduction in part here will have no effect on the market for the original work
