Century High School is located in Santa Ana, California. It is one of the smallest campuses in Orange County, built to house only about 1500 students. It was built in 1989. Its mascot is the Centurion, and the school colors are blue, silver, white, and green.
Century's current administration is made up of one school principal (Ms. Margie Salcedo) and four assistant principals (Mrs. Maria Gumucio, Mr. Roger Fraiser, Ms. Phyllis Perez, Mrs. Marie McDonald).

The school's student body is largely homogeneous and reflects the overwhelmingly Latino ethnic makeup of the surrounding community. It is composed of roughly 93% Hispanic, 5% Asian, 2% Caucasian, and includes 14 different languages spoken.
The school is also home to many clubs and organizations such as the Academic Decathlon, MESA (Math, Engineering, and Science), a Model United Nations program, Mock Trial, Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleading teams, a Marching, Concert, & Jazz Band, Color Guard and Drum Line groups, Orchestra musicians, Women's Chorus and Chamber Singers, and TEACH & e-Business Academies, all which have won district, county, state, and nationwide competitions.

The school's name, which was chosen in a contest among Santa Ana high school students in 1989, reflects the fact that it was founded in 1989, one hundred years after the founding of the city of Santa Ana.
