Centricity is a suite of healthcare IT software solutions from GE Healthcare. It includes software for independent physician practices, academic medical centers, hospitals and large integrated delivery networks. The various modules perform practice management, revenue management, electronic medical records, medical imaging, and other functions.
Centricity was introduced in 2003 with two applications, Centricity Physician Office - Practice Management and Centricity EMR. The products has been acquired by GE, integrated and released under the Centricity name. Additional products were similarly added to the Centricity suite, such as the acquisition of IDX Systems and its products in 2006.[1]
The current version is Centricity Physician Office 2006, launched in December 2006.

Centricity Business is a revenue cycle management system for large physician practices and healthcare enterprises. Prior to Centricity integration, the product was known as IDX Flowcast.

Centricity EMR is an electronic medical record (EMR) system for ambulatory care practices. One of the original two Centricity products, it began as MedicaLogic Logician.[2]

Formerly IDX Carecast, Centricity Enterprise is a core clinical, financial and administrative solution.
[edit] Centricity Picture Archiving & Communications System (PACS)
Centricity PACS is an enterprise-wide image storage and retrieval system. The Centricity RIS-IC module was previously IDX Imagecast. Additional web-based capabilities are expected to be added folloing GE Healthcare's October 2007 acquisition of Dynamic Imaging.[3]

Centricity Practice is an integrated clinical and financial management system. Originally Millbrook Practice Manager[4], it is also one of the original two Centricity products.
