Centre for the New Europe

The Centre for the New Europe (CNE) is a free-market think tank located in Brussels, and focused on EU issues such as economic growth, managing environmental change, health and welfare policy, competition policy, and innovation. CNE is a member of the Stockholm Network, a consortium of over 100 market-oriented think tanks across Europe. CNE is currently headed by Stephen Pollard, a British journalist and policy expert who previously worked at the Fabian Society and the Social Market Foundation.
Since 2003, CNE has hosted an annual ball, the "Capitalist Ball", that in a short time has become a main society event in Brussels.
