Centre for Automotive Safety Research

The Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR) is based in the University of Adelaide. Founded in 1973 as the Road Accident Research Unit, it is internationally recognised as a leading centre of research on road safety and injury control.

The centre has been evaluating the concept of a device for the protection of the heads of car occupants - the car headband.
