Central Virginia Community College, CVCC, is a two-year college located in Lynchburg, Virginia and is part of the Virginia Community College System. Established in 1966, CVCC serves the cities of Lynchburg and Bedford, Virginia and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell.

In the fall 2004 semester, CVCC's total headcount was 4,480 students, 57% female, 43% male[1]. The racial makeup of the student body is 79.78% White, 16.5% Black or African American, 0.58% Native American, 1.18% Asian and 1.96% from other races. Fewer than 1 percent (.83%) of the students were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[2]

Central Virginia Community College offers 20 associate degree programs.[3]
As of the fall 2005 semester, resident tuition is $72.65 per credit hour. Tuition for out-of-state students taking courses on-site is $220.85 per credit hour while out-of-state students taking courses on-line pay $141.35 per credit hour.[4]
