Central Tablelands

The Central Tablelands in New South Wales is an area that is between the Sydney Metropolitan Area and the Central West Slopes and Plains. This area has a part of the Great Dividing Range running through it, including the Blue Mountains. Some towns within the Central Tablelands include Springwood , Katoomba, Lithgow, Orange, Mudgee, Bathurst, Blackheath, Gulgong, Wellington, Oberon and Cowra. It shares borders with the Hunter, Central West Slopes and Plains, Southern Tablelands, North Western Slopes and Plains, the Sydney Metropolitan Area and the Illawarra. The Central Tablelands is accessible by the Great Western Highway, Golden Highway, Castlereagh Highway and the Mid Western Highway. It is also accessible by train via Sydney's City Rail Network taking the Blue Mountains line form Central Station in Sydney's CBD.
