The Central Midlands Football League Premier Division is the lowest tier of the Central Midlands Football League, and ranks amongst the 12th tier of the English football league system. It was established in 1983 and is currently sponsored by Vipond Fire Protection.

During the first two seasons from 1983 till 1985, this league was split into two divisions "Premier First" and "Premier", with Premier First being on the higher level. In 1991-1992 the Premier Division part of the Midlands Football League was put into "North" and "South" divisions. Since 1993, the Central Midlands Premier Division has remained as just one division.

The Premier Division is not part of the National League System, therefore teams are ineligible to participate in the FA Vase. Promotion is to the Central Midlands League Supreme Division and relegation would mean going into one of the Midlands Regional Alliance, the Humber Premier League, the Nottinghamshire Senior League, the Doncaster and District Senior League, the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League, or the Chesterfield and District Amateur League.
