Central Lafourche High School

Central Lafourche High School is located in Mathews, Louisiana on the banks of Bayou Lafourche. The school was opened in 1966, as a result of the consolidating of Raceland & Lockport High Schools. The school currently is a 5A school and has 1,380 students. Apart from a few years, Central Lafourche has always been classified in the LHSAA highest classification.[1]

Central has produced numerous college athletes over the years, most notable All-American LSU QB Tommy Hodson. [2]

Central Lafourche is also home of the Quad A - Open marching band, the "Trojan Lancers". The band is currently under the direction of Mr. Cory Adams. The Lancers have always put on enjoyable shows that feature lots of theatrical endeavors for fans to watch as they listen to the band play the music for the year's theme. This year, the lancer band is performing a show based on the musical "Wicked"
