Centerfield is a city in Sanpete County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,048 at the 2007 census. Although Centerfield was a town in 2000,[1] it has since been classified as a fifth-class city by state law.[3]

Centerfield is located at 39°7′32″N, 111°49′5″W (39.125625, -111.818017).[4]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.7 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,048 people, 310 households, and 252 families residing in the town. The population density was 581.6 people per square mile (224.8/km²). There were 343 housing units at an average density of 190.3/sq mi (73.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 92.94% White, 0.86% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 4.87% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.49% of the population.

There were 310 households out of which 51.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.1% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% were non-families. 17.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.38 and the average family size was 3.83.

In the town the population was spread out with 39.7% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 17.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 25 years. For every 100 females there were 103.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.9 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $35,357, and the median income for a family was $38,462. Males had a median income of $30,795 versus $17,917 for females. The per capita income for the town was $12,270. About 15.2% of families and 16.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 19.1% of those under age 18 and 16.9% of those age 65 or over.
