Center for the Advancement of Genomics

The Center for the Advancement of Genomics (TCAG) is a not-for-profit policy center in Rockville, Maryland. It studies social and ethical issues surrounding genomic science. It is dedicated to education of the general public, elected officials, and students.

TCAG was founded in 2002 by Craig Venter. TCAG, together with The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) and Institute for Biological Energy Alternatives (IBEA), is supported by The J. Craig Venter Science Foundation. They also share facilities of the Craig Venter Science Foundation Joint Technology Center which specializes in genome sequencing.

TCAG publishes an online news magazine Genome News Network.
