Center for Information Technology (Specialty Center)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Center for Information Technology (CIT) is a Henrico County Public Schools specialty center, located at Deep Run High School, that prepares students for higher education and careers in related fields of computer science and information technology. Admission into the center is facilitated through an extensive application process for rising freshman.[1] The Center allows its students to focus on a specialty of interest within the field of information technology. In addition, it offers realistic learning experiences throughout the community; most notably with its web design for non-profit organization projects and senior capstone internship. The Center is currently directed by Chairman Steve P. Long who replaced Doran McBride in 2004.
