Centennial Cup 1978

The Centennial Cup 1978 is the Tier II Junior "A" 1978 ice hockey National Championship for the Canadian Junior A Hockey League.
The Centennial Cup was competed for by the winners of the Abbott Cup/Western Canadian Champions and the Eastern Canadian Jr. A Champions.
The finals were hosted by the Guelph Platers in the city of Guelph, Ontario.

Note: Nanaimo Clippers were declared as winners of the BCJHL after the Penticton Vees refused to play the balance of the series (citing 'rough play', series stood at 2 games to 1 for Nanaimo). Merrit was earlier chosen to represent the league for the CAHA Championships.
