[edit] Non-free logo
For the time being, I have removed the deletion tag that would have caused this image to be deleted. I don't believe that this is a trademark or other copyrighted logo. Unlike the UL mark, the CE mark was not created by a business or other organization. It was created by the someone in the government in Europe to signify that a product complies with certain regulations. As far as I can tell, it does not signify a group or organization in any way. Please let me know if I am way off base here. -- OranL (talk) 18:30, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tags to use
I like the idea of using both the public domain tag and the trademark tag, because using this mark on a product that does not meet the requirements for CE marking is illegal in Europe. This way, people will know that it is not a copyrighted image, but using it on their products may have legal implications in their jurisdiction, and it is their responsibility to do some legal research before they use it.
If no one has any objections, I propose that we keep both tags on the image. -- OranL (talk) 21:39, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
