[edit] Clout

This article has been deleted on a number of occasions, and is likely to be deleted on sight. In this case, I realise (now, having looked at some of your other edits) that you in fact intended to start a genuine article. This wasn't immediately obvious because it wasn't wikified, it didn't mention the article name, and it was merely a dictionary definition. As you seem interested in creating dictionary-definition articles, have you thought of joining the Wiktionary project? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:15, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] MHS.

Old boy or currently attending? --coblin

I responded about the society path generator. Also, sorry about claiming that I started the MHS article. I thought I did, but it was a while ago. Infact I had started the Melbourne Continuation School article, haha. Ok. gnite. --coblin 13:22, July 17, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Meetup in March

I see that you are listed as a participant in the WikiProject Melbourne. If you are a Melbourne resident I would appreciate your views on the suggested Meetup in March . Please give some indication of your interest, or otherwise, in the idea. Even a simple "No thanks" with your user name would be welcome and assist in assessing the level of support for a meetup. Thank you.. Cuddy Wifter 06:30, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Crawford.jpg)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Crawford.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 13:29, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of Wikipedians who went to Melbourne High School

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article List of Wikipedians who went to Melbourne High School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the relevant issues at Talk:List of Wikipedians who went to Melbourne High School. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Request for edit summary

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 06:38, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Proposal

A merger of Speech therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech pathology, and Phoniatrics into one article has been proposed and a name suggested for the new page. I note that you have proposed a merge of a couple of these in the last while. If you have any comments please make them on the talk page of Speech therapy. --Slp1 00:33, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Cocktails

Hello. As a professional bartender (at least according to the userbox you added) you might be interested in the WikiProject Cocktails. It is a group of people at Wikipedia working together to improve the quality of information related to mixed drinks. Having more people participate who really know the topic from a professional point of view would be terrific. Please consider becoming an active Participant. Also, if you are interested, a name change is being considered for the WikiProject from Cocktails to Mixed Drinks, and you can add your opinions to the discussion and vote. I hope to see you around. --Willscrlt (Talk|Cntrb) 03:42, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Face of Tomorrow

The article Face of Tomorrow has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 14:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Cutting-edge science

A tag has been placed on Cutting-edge science, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This article's title does not accurately reflect its text (outdated, too general), and is not written in an encyclopedic manner. It is an indiscriminate list of miscellaneous scientific news items.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 23:53, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Golden Llamas

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Golden Llamas, by Drat (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Golden Llamas fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Awards run by speedied group

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Golden Llamas, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:57, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Foodstar

A tag has been placed on Foodstar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --VS talk 10:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
